RANDY ROSS

Randy has lived and worked as a Director, Cinematographer and Editor in Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver and Toronto where he currently hangs his hat. He has been shooting and directing narrative and branded content for over 20 years. His projects span feature length films, new media content as well as traditional commercial advertising. Randy is an auteur at heart and brings his passion and nuanced perspectives and asthetics to every project he is involved in.

After directing his first feature film that he wrote about his youth as a professional snowboarder, he found a home shooting and directing for the fashion industry. He has worked for household brand names like Victoria’s Secret, DKNY, Kate Spade as well as international publications like Vogue, Marie Claire and Elle magazines to name a few. He has recently shifted his focus to shooting and directing lifestyle focused campaigns in the Food and Beverage and consumer electronics space. He has worked for brands like Nike, Moosehead and Twisted Tea.

While living and working in New York City, Randy also co-founded and acted as CEO and head of product of the digital video platform Cinematique.com. The company created “Touchable Video” and was widely regarded as the world’s foremost interactive “object recognition within video” platform. After it was acquired in 2018, Randy turned his technical knowledge from that venture back to the commercial world and has designed and built multiple web controlled camera jib systems for creative remote shooting during Covid.

Randy also continues his passion for narrative content with a collective of Actors and Artists call the Gracemoon Arts Company that he co-founded along side long time friend and mentor and acclaimed director Michéle Lonsdale • Smith.
